Can I make an in-person appointment?
All of our appointments are held virtually until further notice. If you are a Maryland resident seeking services, we have limited availability for in-person appointments at our DC location.
What is the youngest age that we treat?
We treat children as young as 7 years old.
How do I schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, please complete this form or contact our main office. At the time of your first call, please make sure to have your insurance information on hand so we can verify insurance coverage while having you on the phone.

At times, you may reach the front desk's voicemail. Please leave a detailed message or submit an online appointment request. We make every effort to return calls within 24 hours, Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm.
What can I expect at my therapy session?
First Appointment
Please complete, sign, upload, and submit all necessary documents at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
All necessary paperwork can be found in your client portal. This is needed to bill your insurance.

If you do not complete this paperwork prior to your appointment, your appointment will be canceled. It is your responsibility contact the office to reschedule.
Ongoing Appointments
For all virtual appointments, please log in 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. It is suggested for clients with high deductible plans to make a $75.00 payment at the time of service.
What if I arrive late, have to cancel, or do not show up to my scheduled appointment?
Logging into or arriving late to your appointment may shorten your session time.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must notify your therapist or contact our office 48 hours or prior. To prevent late cancellation charges, please view our Financial Policies.

Please note that cancellation fees are not covered by your insurance. To cancel or reschedule, contact our office at (240) 607-2679.
Will my therapy sessions be covered by my insurance?
Kin-Etic Behavioral Health is in-network with most major insurance companies. We highly recommend that clients become familiar with their insurance plan and check that a particular therapist is covered in-network.
How can I make payments for therapy sessions?
We understand that making payments, at times, may not be feasible. Our billing staff will work with you to ease the financial aspect of counseling. You may reach out to our billing staff who can help you set up a payment plan that fits your life circumstances.
