My name is Robin Queen, LICSW, LICSW-C, RPT

Robin Queen, LICSW, LCSW-C, RPT has over 25 years of experience working with children, teens, and families. She is a member of the Association of Play Therapists, certified in Sandtray Therapy, and a Registered Play Therapist.

During her career as a social worker, Ms. Queen worked with children in medical settings, mental health, and child welfare. She recognized that with the right support, children, teens, and their families were able to achieve their goals and live successful lives. This inspired her to expand her skills as a psychotherapist and become a Play Therapist. Her therapeutic approach includes various forms of expressive therapy: Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy, Art, and Sandtray Therapy. She works with clients experiencing issues with anxiety, social difficulties, family relationships, self-esteem, depression, trauma, and grief. 

Ms. Queen has a friendly, warm demeanor. Her compassion and knowledge allow her to build rapport and create an age-appropriate environment that puts kids and parents at ease. When working with children, Ms. Queen works closely with parents, schools, and other professionals to maximize the treatment success of her clients.

Ms. Queen is a native Washingtonian and graduate of Howard University where she received a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Social Work.
